YouTube Channels

YouTube is one of those sources where complete gems can be found. Today, I thought I would share with you some channels which find great music from artists that might not be so well known. I love discovering new sounds and new artists, and these channels are a great place for just that. Along with my thoughts on each channel, I will be providing the channel's own description in order for you to get a better feel for them.

Majestic Casual was probably the first of these channels I started listening to. They provide all sorts of different genres - from indie to hip-hop and everything in between. I'm pretty much in love with all their videos, and over 1 million subscribers can't be wrong about the sounds coming out of this channel. If there's any channel you should check out, it needs to be this one.

"Majestic Casual represents the best of electronic music, experimental, hip-hop, indie, pop and many more. It's part of the majestic brand which is based in Stuttgart, Germany and was established in the year 2011 as one of the first audiovisual music blogs on YouTube."

S Y Z Y G Y a newer channel, established in May 2013. It presents mostly electronic music, with a mixture of chilled out electro as well as amped up/ party beats. But there's also a bit of hip-hop and acoustics thrown in the mix too. This channel again is amazing for discovering new artists and new tunes. Definitely check it out, you won't regret it.

"Syzygy is the fusion of forward thinking music, art and knowledge. Separated into 4 current channels S Y Z Y G Y covers all topics of electronic music & art. Offering the most professional promotion possible. S Y Z Y G Y was primarily designed to promote artists and producers however most recently has expanded to cover acoustic artists, singers, rappers & almost all other forms of expression."

Etonmessy is another awesome channel where new electronic music can be found. They also have created several playlists such as "House", " Summer Vibes", and "Chilled". I find that playlists are my favorite way of finding music, because if I feel like listening to a particular style, I can go into a playlist and let it run without having to worry about what the next song might be. The Eton Messy playlists are perfect for just that.

"A place to find new exciting electronic music, coupled with beautiful portrait and landscape photography from upcoming talent."

Mr Suicide Sheep - this channel has had over 225,000,000 views and it's almost up to 1 million subscribers. Once again, following a similar path to the other channels, this one plays mostly electronic music. The songs on this channel are always on point, and there are great remixes of popular songs as well as songs by lesser known artists.

"On this channel you will find a wide variety of different electronic music. Enjoy :)"

Side note: I am fully aware that these channels put out pretty much the same genres of music, so basically it's up to you to pick and choose which channel you want to listen to. Or just listen to them all, they're all great, which is why they're on here.
